The village flag at the war memorial has been lowered to mark the passing of local resident Wendy Makepeace who died earlier this month aged 93.

Wendy was born in nearby Skelbrook but lived on Grange Lane for the past 40 years, supported by family who still live in Skelbrook. Wendy is a fondly remembered member of St Helen's congregation until mobilty prevented her regular attendance. Wendy's funeral will be private family only.
